Lets hope it doesn't come to that, but if necessary YES. Israel is our only true friend in the middle east and we must do whatever it takes to help defend her.

I don't think you need be worried about Israel. They have the most modern air, naval, and land technology, and they're fighting Katyusha carrying militia. They've already demolished Lebanon, and cut any routes to any other country, in case you think some other countries could send support to the Lebanese militias. They have bombed civilian areas, including most recently a civilian carrying bus, trying to make it to safer areas, and, Israel has the technology to know that this was a civilian bus. Besides, the USA gives more money and military aid to Israel than you can imagine, about $3,000 a year per Israeli citizen. I'd say that is giving Israel priority over many US needs.
So, you know, Israel is at war, less than 10 civilians dead and a few small holes in the ground or two burned homes are a price they are wiling to pay to bomb another country into oblivion.

No! Its enough that we are supplying them with weapons. That could potentially throw us into WWIII. The United States should join Russia and Japan in condemning Israel for their actions over the past few days!

Remember the Palestinians had been on that land for THOUSANDS of years before Great Britian put the Jews there. How would you like it if someone took your home? And other people supported them with money and weapons to use against you, but YOU GOT NOTHING!

No the US shouldn't use military intervention to assist Israel in their actions against Lebanon, because Israel has a powerful arsenal at its disposal, which is more than sufficient to obliterate terrorist governments like Hezbollah. Besides much of their militaristic sophistication is attributable to our equipping them with state of the art US manufactured fighter planes, tanks, missiles, and guns. So, indirectly, we are assisting them.

All the United States needs to do to assist Israel in its endeavors to stamp out terror, in its neck of the woods, is to not fetter them with international pressure as we have been. It does seem hypocritical that we tell other democratic nations, such as Israel and India, to practice restraint in eliminating terrorists and the nations and governments that have been PROVEN sponsors of terrorists, and yet we ask for carte blanche when we attack a nation with NO PROVEN link to the terrorist attack on our soil.

With what is going on now, North Korea launching missiles, Israel going after Hezbollah, and now Beirut, looks like it might be the beginning of world war 3, if all this keeps up, which, its obvious you cannot talk to all of the countries involved, the are on their own missions, and nothing the UN says is going to stop them from fighting.

No. We are already doing enough as it is; which is to voice support for any country in defending itself against terrorist attacks.
