Usually teeth should be brushed after meals. However, given the fact that in the first half of hour after we wake up the quantity and the activity of damaging bacteria is highest, one should brush one's teeth imediatelly after waking up in the morning as well.Otherwise teeth will be greatly damaged in this half hour. As for the other meals, brushing the teeth should be done after eating. Brushing the teeth too often is not recommended (three times a day will be enough),because in this case bacteria in the mouth cavity become shortly imune to the toothpaste. For this same reason, the type of toothpaste we use should be changed regularly, otherwise its efficiency will decrease in time.

Eat first. What are brushing off before eating? Bad Breath?

Besides I hate the taste of toothpaste with food. Tastes like a chemistry experiment.

eat, then brush your teeth, it wouldnt make sense to brush them and then get them messy again after you eat breakfast. And plus if you brush your teeth before you go to bed, your mouth should be clean up until you eat breakfast.
