Deja vu in French means "seen already." The term is used for the common feeling that a person may have that what he/she is experiencing has happened to them before.
It doesn't matter whether it really has happened to you before. The term is still used.

It is like you thought you have been in the same place and time at a certain time, but you have never been there or done that or had that happen.
It's like future telling, but you just dont' know when something will happen, what will happen, or how you did it.
Once the event takes place, you suddenly remember that the thing happened once or something like that.
It usually happens in your dreams (getting the visions) and i think thats why you don't remember it.
I have that stupid stuff as well as my sister
it's pretty weird and annoying cuz i can only deja vu things that are more than totally pointless

Deja vu is just the way of your soul letting you know that you are on the right path. Thats why whatever you are experiencing seems so familiar..as if you have done it before. You are where you are supposed to be in your lifes path

it means that you have been their before it can be person, place, or thing. some time you had been to the place and you feel like you have done things before or seen things before that is what that means.
