I don't think they necessarily "bow to Mecca"-- remember many of liberals boast of being atheist, so they'd have no reason to do that.

I think liberals are generally misguided in that they believe a global order is in everyone's best interest, than say, doing what's right. They think that the UN or any "international community" is better only because it involves more people. I guess that way, when the S hits the fan, the blame is spread across the lot?

In short, liberals support Mecca because they hate America and they see that as the best way to piss America off, in the short-term. If we happened to be engaged in a war against primitive Quakers, I'm sure they'd be talking about how great William Penn was.

The liberals will never defend America, so they'll be bowing to Mecca if conservatives let them have their way. I just don't understand the bitter hatred liberals have for their country. If they despise America why do they stay here?

Um...who is the best Saudi buddy of them all? The Bush family. Always has been, always will be. I haven't seen Michael Moore holding hands with any Saudi princes lately.

So, if anyone is bowing to Mecca, it is the right wing oil barons.
