I have heard many different things but how long can pregnancy hormones last? I am a certified nurse assistant so i'm not completely dumb to the issue maybe in denial of the possibility I might be pregnant again..We were using protection but the condom broke once so I know pregnancy is a slim possibility. Any comments or suggestions are appreciated.

I took the pregnancy test and it said positive...I wasn't sure if it would be positive from maybe "left over" pregnancy hormones..I did breast feed the first 2 months..

This might be personal but, did you bleed right after you had your baby? If not, something is wrong. Or it could be those darn breakable condoms fault!

First do a preg test. If you're not pregnant, thank your lucky stars you haven't started your period again yet! Are you breastfeeding? Sometimes this can stop you getting your period (but it won't stop you getting pregnant).
I got my period a month to the day that my son was born.... and I was breastfeeding (total bummer!)
