No, I don't agree. However, I do think that breakups could be exceedingly messy and damage the band as a whole, so I don't think it's a decision to be taken lightly.

Yeah, it's a quick way to cause tension between members. When the couple break up, that usually means the end of the band as it started. Sometimes that's a good thing, but not often. If you look at Fleetwood Mac's music before and after all the relationship changes, they went from creative varied music to music loaded down with baggage.

It doesn't matter unless you've got some longevity. The lifespan of most bands isn't very long, and unless you guys are completely serious, and really good (and not good because your friends and family say you are good) it doesn't hurt to have fun.

I was in a band. We made a rule not to date each other.....
Of course, we were all male, but that's still a good policy. ;)
