Depends on what your tastes are. I am British and some of the food is very bland but then so is a lot of the food from other countries.

It all depends on what you like. I love certain British foods very much, and I am not British. [Cornish Pasties/Meat Pies for example]

I've also been to England, and had some of the best food I've ever had there. My favorites were: Roast Duck, Roast Lamb, and, [as I said before] Cornish Meat Pies.

Just like every other generalization, you can't believe it utterly.
There is going to be bad and good in every place you go, and as for cooking, it also depends on the cook, now, doesn't it?

I didn't just hear it. I experienced it. But Indian, Chinese, Italian restaurants thrive in Great Britain. So do middle eastern and Greek, etc. They can be extraordinary. And once you develop a taste for steak and kidney pie with HP sauce, or rashers and eggs, there's no turning back, bland or not.

Yep. I've heard that. I've never been to Briton though, so I can't yet say from personal experience if its true or not.
