The penalty was unfair but France might have scored on their own had it not been given so who knows?? But overall Portugal played better -- France spent the rest of the game maintaining their 1 goal lead -- so it was disappointing to see them go out on a bad decision by the ref.

No, I really didn't. I thought the officiating was equally bad for both teams but if it appeared to be worse for Portugal it was probably because of all the diving. If I'm not mistaken that referee didn't call any other games through the remainder of the games.

yes i think they should have been in the final !!! the penalty tht france got against portugal wasn't really a foul !!! But i also think that sometimes the portugese players dive too much so the ref just gets tired of them and helps out the opposing team.

It doesn't matter who you all thought should have won. Italy won, there's nothing you can do to change it so just accept it. Face it, Portugal got outplayed in their game to advance, whenever your team plays bad you always seem to want to pin it on the ref. Just accept the fact that your team didn't play up to par and get on with life.

No chance...Portugal got what they deserved in the end...i.e. nothing. The two best sides got to the final....end of story.
