The best thing about modern dance is the rhythm you feel, when you're dancing to the beat. It took my soul and made me feel the rhythm and dance to the beat.

There is such a freedom in modern that is hard to find in any other form of dance. But there is a strong dependence on previously learned technique that dancing modern feels that you have really acomplished something.

Anything goes in modern dance. You dance what you feel and you can ignore the coventions of something like ballet or jazz. You dance what you want. And, unless you are going to do alot of turns, you don't have to wear shoes!!!

it goes by how you feel more than a form like most other dance types out there....modern dance like creative moevement offers alot more freedom to express your inner self through each movement of your body

I like it, because to do it accurately you have to trust your body and your sense of rhythm, you have to move through the music.
