Plz. let me know that if make a call to some one's computer from yahoo messenger on my computer, does it cost something. I mean do i have to pay something for that.Or is it free of charge.

Calling a computer is free (i have tried it before), but calling someones telephone costs 1 cent per minute.

The answer is no--none of the messenger services cost anything unless it is AOL and they charge for everything they can gouge you for, so i figure AOL charges. Of course, you may have to pay to get some "networking" service in the first place.
May I warn you that the Messenger services are all vulnerable to virses and hackers? Microsoft's in particular are hacked all the time, and spyware exploits the messengers at every opportunity.
I do not use any messengers at all. I even deny Logitech's Messenger that is built into my keyboard.
My advise is to use email and forget messengers FROM ANYONE. The risk and trouble is, in my opinion, not worth the advantages.
The world is filled with not-for-free lunches, dude!

Of course using Yahoo Messenger is 100% free of charge, just like AIM or MSN messenger. However, you have to pay for an internet connection.

I think it's free of charge. I received several calls on my yahoo messenger from another country, and it was free. Also, that person didn't pay anything, so it must be free...
