1) it will reflect the troubles of the world in our time and
2) it will articulate the the hypocrisy, intolerance and corruption that divides us all. This will be done through music, theater, film, and writing of all kinds. When socially conscious work hits regular people, art has the ability to change perspectives.

Visual design and new media have already started on a path of social activism as opposed to pure commercialism. Take for instance, Milton Glaser's work for Africa.

Hopefully there will be a solution to the madness somewhere in there.

I don't really believe art really changes anything. It reflects and it records what is happening in the world, it elicits emotions both good and bad, it is a creative outlet for what an artist thinks and believes in and finally is a way to make a living, hopefully. I think if the world or a part of it is truly changed by art, it is an accident and not by design. If a person is using art to change something, then they are using the wrong media.

It will be more graphic like computer art, and more 3D. And people will work harder at it to make it look more realistic and it will make people look at it because it is so pretty! =) (kidding-sorta)
