I know how to add text to a photo, its watermarking- a faint almost opaque appearance of text on the picture

Just look for the correct font. It should be there. Watermarking in this context just means putting a mark on the photo. Text qualifies.

The water mark would have to be a photo that you have saved to a file. Whether it is only a photo of text, or any photogragh. Open your desired photo, click add from file, while highlighted click effects and transparent. make the photo as transparent or prominant as you like.

im not sure on that particular program , but I know other photo editing programs offer you the oppurtunity to put a watermark on it
