Yes it is depending on how many have bad dimpelling then it may lower or raise the price of the coin.

If you are refering to an unevenness in the fields, (the background), then yes it is normal. The new gold coin was modeled after the original design for the 1913 Buffalo nickel, (they changed the design in 1913, creating two types, most people have only seen the second type). This design was intentionally "rough" I believe to give more character to the coin. Actually, this type of design was in vogue back then, many of our early commemorative coins also had fields like this.
