I really love the show, but have missed some shows. Does anyone know what that thing in the woods was? What is going on with the show now? When does the next season start?

Go to ABC.com and you can watch all the episodes. Also, they're replaying them in order this offseason; they've made it through about the first nine or so.
The new season starts in October.

the thing in the wood turned out to be a cloud of black smoke, i know, stupid. mr eko stared it down and it disappeared. so much happened i can't explain it all to you. i recommend you download it. it will be better to watch it yourself than hear it from someone else.
