No. Women wear jewelry as an adornment that makes them feel good about themselves. Jewelry is an expression of themselves that they can show the world.

I didn't wear makeup or jewelry for years and years. My DH and a couple other men before him fell madly in love with me, but no one else did AT ALL!
Now that I'm past a certain age, I do feel like I have to wear makeup and maybe *some* article of jewelry.
I swear, human beings are such magpies, "Ooo, you sparkle and shimmer! So I love you!" and I'm all "Eew! Go away!"

Jewelry is a great gift.
Not only is it beautiful, but each time you put it on it's a reminder of that special day and of the special person who gave it to you.
It's not that we *NEED* it to feel beautiful.
We enjoy it because it makes us feel special.
(I'm talking about nice gold/gem pieces here - not just the day to day $15 earrings that match my favorite blouse. Those kind are nice too, but not meaningful.)

No, in fact I don't think that at all when I put jewelry on
there are certain pieces I wear for certain meanings..
and the rest just look good with my clothes for the day!

No. The jewels may be beautiful, but they do not change the physical appearance of the wearer.
Beauty is only skin deep. There many people who may not appear to be attractive, but have a beautiful personality.

Well i wear a pair of earrings just to bring out my eyes. But to tell you the truth what a woman need to make herself beautiful is dress appropriatly,good hygiene,and a good attutide and your set.
