You really haven't described the problem well enough to get a definite answer.
I assume you mean you have driven the car in low gear and high RPM because you or the transmission can't shift gears.

If it an automatic Transmission, have it towed to a service center.

If you have modern manual Transmission.
The Problems sounds like, your clutch Hydraulic master-Cylinder or, the clutch throw-out slave cylinder is in need of fluid or has failed.

Check the fluid level, it will be located under the hood on the firewall in front of the driver.

You need clutch or transmission work. Have it towed to a transmission specialist.

If you can put it in gear when the engine is not running, it's probably the clutch. If you can't put it in gear even when it's not running, it's the trans.

Did any noises come from the transmission when you hit the red line? And why would you do such a thing?

There are so many things that could have been broken...RED MEANS STOP! you probably need to get your transmission rebuilt.
