I'm seriously considering enrolling in their IT program to earn at least my associates degree. Just wondering if anyone has a degree from them or can tell me if it's worth it.
I already checked and they are accredited but that doesn't always hold weight with employers. Any info would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

Hi There,

I was a student at the University of Phoenix for a few months. I earned straight A's, but their courses moved extremely fast (one every 5 weeks) and you have your work to turn in as well as group work. I will warn you ahead of time that if you are intelligent, you may get stuck being "team leader" for many classes. This isn't a bad thing, but extremely frustrating when others don't turn in their work on time or at all and YOUR grade depends upon them.

Also, my advice would be to take a look at other colleges before making a decision. Their prices per class are horrid and in my opinion, aren't worth that cost. I had to correct my teacher's language several times (gram. stuff) and it really made me doubt whether or not he could actually grade my APA correctly. I have a philosophy that if a teacher expects excellence from me, I expect the same. It wasn't worth the cost!

Good luck to you.

I have not graduated yet, but I am currently in my first semester. It is going very good. I plan on transferring to a regular school after I get my Associate's, but I just couldn't fit going to school into my schedule. I would suggest enrolling there if you want to do school on a flexible schedule. All of the teachers there have PhD's and are extremely helpful. The enrollment process was awesome, because they did everything for me. They got me my loan and the Pell Grant.

I am suspicious of the quality of Phoenix degree. It is a big university doing very big advertisement. It might be too big for quality controlling.
