hmm well first of all it depends on what syllabus and grade ur doing as the load of portions vary accordingly and i just got through school so its pretty simple.......understand concepts rather than mugging them up.....you want to give a great paper then ....first understand the concept....what it means and what its used for then mugg it up ......just so that in the exam if u kno wht it means and u know it by heart.....you spill out the exact same words as ur text......or else if u forget....u still know what the concept is.......and for remembering concept.....try relating them to something in ur life......real life stuff......which are alwayz on ur mind.........

u don't have to remember them. apply them to your life.
as a matter of fact, i don't belive derivatives or probabilities, for instance, have any thing to do with real life. so practice. it makes perfect.
science is another story. u can see them in real life. try to explain everyday syntoms. if you can't, look it up or associate them with your learnt knowledge.
nice learning.
