After a full season under the new rules, do you like them?

I love the new rules - except for the ones that limit the goalies playing the puck. Those should be looked at again. Hopefully, they refs keep up on calling everything.

I even like the shootout. Anything to not have ties anymore! One team should win, and the other should lose. It's as simple as that.

Some things, like the rule about calling a penalty if the puck goes out of play, I could do without. I also don't really care for the new restrictions on where the goalie can move. I have to say, though, I love the shootout. It's not the fairest thing ever, but it's incredibly exciting every time and if it keeps people in their seats and buying tickets to hockey games, more power to it!

I like some of the rules that were put in place. The shootout allows the underdog team a chance to win. It highlights talent. I hate the idea that the goalie can't wonder into the corners. I like that they took out the red line. It allows more odd man rushes which is more exciting, and the whole getting a fine if you fight in the last 5 mins of the game is ridiculous and should be taken out!

The diving to draw a penalty when someone has just 'touched' you with his stick needs to stop. I don't like the puck over the glass penalty, sometimes that truly is an accident. Smaller goalie equipment doesn't seem to matter. I haven't decided yet what I think about the trapazoid behind the net but I do LOVE the shootout. It is great!

It sure beats the dead puck era of 1995-2004 by a long shot. Like almost all expect the weird trapezoid behind net. Still cannot see why you should punish a goalie who can handle the puck ...I think it'd be better to say he just can't handle it anywhere behind the entire goalline.

Or dump the rule and tell teams when you do dump-ins, flip it in so even if golaie skates out you can be on top of him in seconds.

No...Don't get me started!...Too late!And I know I am not alone when I say"NO!...The new rules gotta go!" Ask Trevor Linden the ex-President of the Players Association.(that's why he quit!)
First of all...the rules suck! What is this **** about about players bearly touching their opponents and then diving to draw penalties!! And the 2 reds lines behind thje net...the goalie should be able to play the puck anyway' providing he doesn't cover it behind the red.
I don't think incing should be a defence for a penalty. You ice the puck!..YOU ICE THE PUCK!!
And There should NOT be a shoot out...What ever happened to way hockey used to be played...The old fashioned way! If you tie..then its overtime!

I never liked the level of clutching and grabbing before the lockout, but I think the referees are calling games way too tight. Glad to see two-line passes. Goalie equipment should be slightly bigger. Shootout is okay but I think the shooter should have to release the shot before reaching the crease. And Ed Snider needs to realize it isn't the 1970's anymore.

it is still taking me a bit to get use to but i would still rather see some more contact in front of the net...all these rule changes make it harder for defence-men to play the game...

and i would definitely change the shoot out from 3 shots each to 5 per team...all other hockey leagues do it that way.

get rid of the over the glass penalty just make it like an icing where you cannot change lines.
somehow open up for more hitting.
lets get a bit more harsh on the running of the goalies.Lets face it if that were still a penalty carolina would not be champions.
other than that i like it.

I hate the shootout, and how big market teams can't have rosters full of big named players anymore.
