I wondered the same thing. I think it's about a relationship but it's interesting that they chose to make that their debut after everyone shunned them after their anti bush comments.
It seemed like a good song- or at least a good video...wonder if it'll pull them out of the dark. prolly not.

Its a song they wrote about the backlash they received after insulting George Bush and saying at a concert that they were ashamed he was from Texas. They were blacklisted from thousands of radio stations afterward and the country music industry really came after them. Their new CD has gotten good reviews however, the song is about not cowing down to the pressure of compromising their integrity due to this pressure. Its a good song.

to make nice means to be nice to someone, often in a situation where you really don't want to be nice at all. mothers often tell their children to "make nice" with other kids while their playing, eg to share toys etc. as an adult, "make nice" translates into "be civil". i haven't heard the song but from the title i would assume it's about a failed relationship and she's not ready to be friends with the guy because either he hurt her or she's still getting over him for some other reason. hope this helps!

They made everyone angry when they made comments about George Bush, and they lost a lot of fans as a result. The song seems to be a response to all of their negative fan mail.

Actually, it's a very bad long annoying song. Sorry but, I just dislike it. No offense intended for anyone that does though.
