Is it more attractive when girls get tans????

Tanning is Really bad for your body, So why do People girls and guys lay in the sun for hours trying to get a tan???

I think it looks better but I don't try to lay in the sun for hours or take a trip to the tanning beds. It is not worth risking your health especially for fair skinned people.

It depends on the eyes of the guys... some like sunkissed or tanned and some like white. Tanning under the sun is really bad for your skin but if you really want then you could go to a salon or spa and they offer tanning that would last for a week. The result is better than tanning under the sun because if done in the salon or spa the color is even.

Why don't you just enhance your natural color? I'm tan and i love my skin complexion.

True, tanning is bad for you, but what isnt anymore?
I am a firm believer that tan people look healthier and more beautiful in general. Some people look good without a tan, but I personally prefer to have some color, it gives me a healthy glow and i dont have to worry so much about make up. I go to the tanning booth because I dont have the patience to lay for hours, or the tolerance to withstand the heat.

Tanning looks terrific but is so bad for your skin. A friend of mine died 3 weeks ago from skin cancer from years of sun exposure without using sunblock. I didn't use sunblock either and even though I am naturally dark, I know that because I spent my entire childhood in the sun, whether it was tanning or just being outside. They have sunless tanners now and salons that provide you with a really nice looking tan without having to use the tanning beds. Much safer.

Not when you are 50. I know it seems like a long time away but I remember seeing one of the gorgeous popular girls from highschool at a 10 year highschool reunion. She was always baking in the sun, and I didnt recognize her, she looked like someone's Mom.

Try a bronzer for the face gives you a similar look without the sun damage- just get a nice sheer one- I like "SUN WARM"

and I like Jergens Self Tanning Moisturizer. It's formulated with Erythrulose gradually develop a tan without any streaking or orange coloration or the typical smell you'd find in a self tanner. I think Dove and Neutragena make them too.

I like to look tan, but I know it's bad to lay out in the sun. I use sunless tanners. You've got to find a good one to make it look natural though. Olay sells a lotion for your body and face that gives you a nice tan over time. It works great for me.

Well as the saying goes, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I personally don't have a tan and never want to get one. I have pale porcelain skin which I'm always getting compliments on and I've never had trouble getting a guy, plus it is bad for you as you said. I don't want to get skin cancer or look like wrinkly leather when I'm old. Buy hey, if someone wants to go out and do it themselves, then that's is their choice. Some people like the sunkissed look and some people like the porcelain look. To each his own.

I like to be tan. i love to be out in the sun. there are lots of things that are bad for you but we still do it and just like everything else do it in moderation!!
