While religous peoples think of a supreme being of god and that evolution is the anti-christ. Is it a lack of understanding evolution or ignorance.

Evolution is not the road to perfection, there is no proof that we are evolving towards perfection, we could be evolving towards something not perfect, humans have not evolved biologicaly since cultural evolution started. There is a lot of discussion among evolutionists about where evolution is leading, but only time will tell.
Religious people say that evolution is the anti-christ because it goes against what they are told to belive, and if they support evolution that would mean accepting that what they have belived all they're life is wrong.

Anyway that's my opinion.

When you consider the origin of life, you have (at least for some of us) evolution from simple molecules and cells up to complex multicellular organisms. The latter have many more abilities than the former, and are thus in a way superior/better. That's why people mix evolution with "progress" towards something perfect.
The concept of evolution goes hand in hand with adaptation and change. Organisms have to confront a lot of factors which have an impact on their survival and procreation (selection pressures). Trying to adapt to these pressures will cause changes and in the long run evolution. If you change the pressures the path of evolution will be different.
So there is no absolute perfect final state;it's just a continuous attempt to approximate the conditions which are best under the given circumstances (which are also not constant)

I am sorry I can't explain it better.

Thinking that evolution is the anti-christ stems from narrow-mindness, ignorance, fanatism and misunderstanding the theory of evolution, especially when people don't have the right background or don't go in depth into things

No one who is familiar with evolutionary theory
thinks evolution is the road to perfection. It is a
popular misconception to think that every evolutionary change is for the better. Perfection,
in any case, can scarcely even be defined, let
alone attained. What seems perfect to one person
may not be to another.

What evolution can do is to give one organism an
edge over another, UNDER EXISTING CONDITIONS. When conditions change another
adaptation may be necessary. There is also a limit
to how much improvement is possible. A human
being, for example, could not evolve the ability to
fly without changing so much it would no longer be
a human being. (And probably that amount of
change would itself be impossible.)

Evolution does not need to produce perfection.
All that is necessary it to produce an organism
that has a slight advantage over others, in other
words one that is good enough for the current
conditions. Some conditions are beyond evolution's power. A volcanic eruption or meteorite
strike can not be resisted by the best adaptations
possible to living tissue.

Evolution is not perfection. Creation is ignorance and self pity

because perfection means 100% without flaw. that is absolutely imposible for a being to be perfect. that is why scientists tend not to use the word perfect.
