Upon scouring the internet my friends found that that musical locket thing that Jones had was the same one that Tia Dalma had. After looking into it further they found that supposedly in movie 3 Tia Dalma will be revealed (sp?) as Jones' true love. Is this possible? Were there any hints in #2?

I'm suspicious that the ring Jack took from Tia Dalma's table is what's throwing off the compass that shows your hearts desire - I bet all these objects once belonged to Davey Jones, and the compass originally helped him to find Tia Dalma (or whoever his love is) when she went off adventuring as long as she wore the ring.
I think when the ring pointed to Jack for Elisabeth, and swung wildly for Jack, it was really following the ring as he waved his hand around.

There were (or are supposed) clues in Dead Man's Chest. When Jack took the ring from Tia Dalma (while she wasn't looking), if you take a closer look at it, it's a heart that matches the lock on Davy Jones' chest. Of course, it's all speculation, seeing that none of us wrote the screenplay. :) lol

yes...there are hints in the 2nd because when jack and will and the others go and visit tia the first time, you see jack steel a ring, and by the ring was a locket with the same design as the musical locket that davey jones had!!!! and she knew so much about his first love and what was in the chest...but yes, it is her, and it should be revealed in the 3rd one
