Humans eat with forks, dogs usually don't.
Dogs are faithful to their masters, humans seldom are.
Some humans don't like baths, most dogs love baths.
Most dogs will come when called, most humans will be mad when whistled at.
Humans can play many sports. The only sport a dog can play is fetch (or catch frisbees)
Most dogs are a pleasure to bring hiking. Most humans are not.

Outside of the obvious difference of 32 chromosomes, I'd have to say that humans can think abstractly and dogs seem capable of being unconditionally loving and loyal. Of course, that doesn't mean I particularly like dogs--they seem to lack dignity!
