and actually the first guy had it right too. you might have some kind of deficiancy if you are having problems falling to sleep. a good multivitaman is absolutly great in solving this problem. after a couple weeks of taking a very good and complete multi-vitaman, your body will feel tired when its time to go to sleep, and you will feel more energized in the morning.

my husband has problems waking up as well. a really loud alarm clock does the trick.

Try drinking some hot cocoa before you go to sleep...

Or at ten o'clock: have a long relaxing bath and that should get you really sleepy: by ten thirty you WILL be asleep

Or you could listen to CDs such as: classic music for babies (i'm not kidding, it worked for me! Mozart, Beethoven etc, they all get me safe into the land of nod!)

And to get up early in the morning: before you go to sleep tell your head to 'get up at seve, get up at seven, get up at seven' three times like that: WHILE gently banging your head against the pillow, so it really sticks in your brain: and you WILL wake up when the alarm goes off at seven

There is no harm in trying, so the next time you have problems try these techniques out! There are always medicinnes that you can buy, but only look at this option as the last ... there so many other ways...

I have the same problem and its because I have a very active life and the fact that I am always on the computer. Usually, I take a cold shower, turn the AC on full blast, turn on the ceiling fan, and sleep on my boxers with a thin cover on my body. This is what works for me. You should also manage your time with your personal events and realize how important it is to get a good night sleep. Try It!

thinking of getting up at 7am is just absurd. you can get up at 5 am or even
much before. this happens when you really feel the responsiblity and seriousness of the job you have on hand.

also, if you are really working hard during the day, there is no doubt
that you will fall asleep like a dead log within minutes of your lying on
the bed.

and your sense of responsiblity will, by nature, wake you up, much before
the time you are scheduled to start up your next assignment.

please never try to oversleep, particularly in the morning hours. spare some time every day during the morning hours for prayers, i bet, this will bring in you peace, happiness, and the pleasure of living.

happy living

Don't lie in bed tossing & turning waiting for sleep... take time to tire out: reading, hot milk/chocolate (no snacks), dim lighting all help prepare for sleep. Jump in bed when really sleepy. Before you doze off, form a mental picture of a clock with the time you are suppose to wake up - it works sort of like an internal alarm clock.

Be physically exhausted before you go to bed and don't eat for 4 hours before you plan on sleeping. You could try a prescription sleep aid if nothing else works. A good diet and plenty of exercise will allow you to sleep more easily.

changing your sleep cycle is one of the hardest things to do. The best thing is to not eat for 4 hours before you want to be asleep (digestion keeps you awake), excercise about 3 hrs before so youre tired, but not so soon before that youre still pumped. Then just try and sleep, eventually your body will catch on'

Check what you eat & drink and activity level.
What were you old sleep patterns 3 am to noon? - you'll just have to wait it out.
Caffineated sodas, chocolate, dark tea? Too much sugar? Just run 5 miles? Got hyper from video / games / music?
I agree with others - don't do the sleeping pills - bad news.

I'm not exactly sure what to tell you because you give no details about your lifestyle, diet, age, or whatever, but I would suggest that you go to sleep at the same time every night, keep your bedroom dark, and only use it for sleep.
(That means go through old phone bills at the kitchen table.)
Pray before you go to bed, wash your feet, hands and face, and do not do any strenuous exercise 2 hours before sleep if you can help it.

Hey, you require 8 hours of good sleep.

Drink a warm glass of milk and go to bed at about 9:00.
Do not watch T.V., read a good book. Something educational.

Good Luck
