I don't have windows explorer.

I have a mac....I use safari.

Just erase them like you would erase any file from a disk.

Itunes won't help you. Just use Windows.

You don't need Itunes to do that. Just insert the disk and use Windows explorer to delete the information on the disk before going into Itunes.

Open Disk Utility (Located in your Utilities folder), Select the disk on the side, click the erase tab, and erase your disk. It will then re-mount, and you can then write data to it.
