How come the oil light signal blinks, especially when I drive around curves?
I changed the oil about a month ago... DH thought car was "burning oil", it doesn't seem to be leaking any..?

If the light comes on mainly on curves it probably is low on oil. If low the light should come on during hard acceleration and braking as the oil shifts around in the pan. Every time the light comes on , the vehicle has lost oil pressure and may be damaging bearings (unless you have a shorted/damaged sensor). The car doesn't have to be leaking oil to be using oil..... it may be burning thru the exhaust. Good luck !

Some good answers here but the bottom line is that you really need to find out what the problem is in order to prevent possible engine damage. It may just be a low oil level warning light and that would be bad enough but if it is a low oil pressure warning light then that could mean a ruined engine, so it would be wise to have it checked before something bad happens.

Check the oil level with the dipsitick. The fact that you changed it a month ago doesnt mean anything - they could add less oil or some amount could be burned by this time

Maybe the place that did your oil change didnt fill your engine with the right amount of oil. Get it checked

First check your oil level, If that,s not it than it could be your oil sending unit.

If it's flickering around curves it may be low. Check it and add enough to take it up to the full mark.
