Straight down the A23. Upon arrival there, you'll need treatment for a sore bottom and probably psychiatric help for having decided to go by bike in the first place!

1. Get yourself a bicycle.
2. Learn to ride said bicycle. (Best time to go when 2. is complete - going before this time results in pain)
3. Buy a compass.
4. Fix compass to aforementioned bicycle.
5. Head South.
6. Stop at sea.

There is a specific charity route from london to brighton - my father did it.
The british heart foundation organise this event.

like Sarah says. There's an annual ride on that route. Find out who organises it and ask them for their maps. There will be a good route for sure.

Obtain a bycycle and erm well maybe a map ... then I would suggest appling pressure to the peddles in a cicular fashion
and steering using the bar like thing and um ..........
