Some people believe it is an organization that takes advantage of 3rd World Coutries--i.e., the poorest of the poor. In reality, the G8 provides funding, aid and economic development to these countries. In short, there is a radical anarchist movement globally that resists the rule of law and has convinced itself that wealth is bad.

Two things.

(a) G8 countries of course are the 8 most wealthiest countries in the world. By saying that, they usually do things that benefit themselves then anything else. Care more about financial gain, then human and/or environmental rights. It takes a crisis, like the crisis in the mideast, to draw the attention of the G8.

(b) Most of the time, people there arent protesting against the G8 in particular. A lot of them are protesting against Bush, and his administration. As you may well know, Bush doesnt have the fondest reputation outside of the United States.

G8 are the rich countries. The rest of the world(especially Africa) is really poor.

People thought that Globalization would distribute wealth in a better manner. It did have a limited success. So I guess people felt cheated.

People will march against anything it seems..

Probably there would even be some anti cat marchers if someone marched for support of kittens.
