Its an optical mouse, it has no balls.

Replace it with new batteris. After that try to find a reset button in your mouse and the connection port. this is to trace back the conection of your mouse. you can try to restart you PC if it doesnot work.

Do not shower or bathe for the days you do this. Put the mouse in the crotch of your pants and leave it there for 1 day. Remove and see if it wants to work. If not, put it back in and keep it there for 2 days. See if it wants to work after the 2 days. If not, put it back in for 3 days this time. Take it out and I guarantee it will work after 6 days around your nasty crotch. It won't want more of that treatment.

yeah, you need to give it some electrical circuts and attach it to the computer, it will come alive again.
