i want a house with four bedrooms, a big pool, a barn with a big pasture for my horses, a seperate litte 'house' where i can do my art stuff and make messes without needing to clean them up right away, a finished basement, a hot tub, and a sun room.
well, now that i'm dreaming i'd like a unicorn too.

My dream home is in rolling hills overlooking a lake in Northern California. It's a single story rambling Craftsman Bungalow with a detatched 3 car garage (SUV, economy car, and boat).
The yard has water features like a koi pond and fountain, spa and lap pool, all done in a natural way that looks like it's always been there. There are fragrant old fashioned roses, lavender, hydrangea, magnolias, wisteria, and all sorts of other old fashioned plants/trees/herbs. There's a well-tended small veggie garden for picking 'salad' and 'salsa'.
The house was built in the early 1900's and has a big living room with fireplace and builtins on either side of it. The ceilings are all original beadboard. The kitchen is original but with the added modern conveniences like dishwasher, compactor etc. The dining room has the original built in china cupboard. There is a large master suite, two guest rooms, an art studio, an office, and a library/den.
The whole thing is surrounded by a white picket fence and there are cats and dogs in the yard.
