Yes.You must see their performance 12 months before the world cup. Maybe some of the players are a little exhausted. But in truth they underachieved especially Ronaldinho.

The FIFA ranking is not solely determined by a team's performance at the World Cup so yes I believe Brazil still deserves the first place.

no way they should be second behind france
brazil displayed some of the most worst performances in the world cup
they were not like the past brazillian teams
france deserve to be there not just because of the win against brazil but they got to the final and they collected more fifa points than brazil
after the euro championships in 2008 france will rank number 1
and italy number 2
brazil will fall behind
and also england at numner 5 ranking there is defo somthing wrong with the fifa rankings
they should be at 25 not 5

Yes. Being a five-time champ has no effect on the new ranking, because it only takes into consideration the past 4 years, but in those 4 years Brazil was at the top of CONMEBOL and the world, so it's probably going to take more than a quarterfinal elimination to drop Brazil to #2.

Yes, Their performance was poor but still, They have the most famous names in the game such as Ronaldihno (2x World Player of the year) and Ronaldo. I think Australia deserve to be better ranked than 33rd. They had narrow defeats to the 2 top teams in the world (Brazil & Italy). They should without a doubt be in the top 20.

The team that looked the best in the world cup was Argentina and and I'm English so it's hard to say that.Brazil were not convincing and nor were England so how we got number 5 in world rankings is a joke as well.

They are still the best team in the world. Unfortunately in Germany, their awful coach who has never played high level football reverted back to his ultra-conservative methods. If Adriano starts the France game and Robinho is given more than 10 minutes on the pitch, there would most likely be a 6th star on their kit now.

yes , brazil deserves to be stood first place at the fifa ranking, they are five times fifa champions, they atleast reached at quarter final . played many times semifinals, reached several times at final so the average of all these pointed that brazil is number one in position still.
