Love is kind of strange.

Attraction is still a big mystery.

No one can truly answer this question because one person cannot answer for all people. Personally, there's something about the male gender that's more appealling. I'm certain the same sentiments are there in respect to same gender loving females. I love having sex with women, I want a family, sometimes I am deeply saddened seeing fathers & sons, mothers & daughters, husbands & wifes, knowing that this is something that I (may) will never be. I also know that no matter what, there'll always be that empty feeling that none of this could/would fill. Always in life, decisions are made; I've taken the lessor of the two evils.

It's easier to personally deal with the same sex. People do have their differences but the differences with same sex are not so monumentous and challenging as those of the opposite sex.

Physically, there are areas of the body when touched by the same sex explodes versus when touched by the opposite sex, only simmers. The taste, the feel, the smell, the look...it can all be sumed up as what appeals most to the other person.

IF they "Fall" for a person of the same sex, isn't that defining them as Gay? I can understand "attraction." People are attracted to others all the time, but it is a very different story when you use the word, "Fall." I have owned one of the biggest caberets in the US...a Female Impersonator caberet! IT was attended by about 25% straight on any one night, and the number of straight men who would come up to me and ask if there was something wrong with them because they were attracted to this drag or that drag! I always laughed, told them it was quite normal, as the guys dressed up were "super women," with the perfect makeup, perfect clothes, etc. and did such a good job that the men were attracted to the "Woman" these men represented. The same thing happens to very good looking men...some straight men become attracted to them for no known reason...it may be looks, personality..who knows...IT means NOTHING! Nothing is acted upon, nothing happens, it is just one of life's curve balls that seems to upset the apple cart every so often. Gay men are attracted to Straight men, so why would it be a leap to think that Straight men could be, on occasion, attracted to this or that....harmless.

I dont know. Some say its genetic, some say its hormonal some even claim it is due to climate. The answer eludes everyone. But it can even be seen in nature. Animals (flies, tigers, even pigs) sometimes prefer same sex partners. Its probably just mother Nature's way of adding spice to life. Whatever the real reason though, scientists will find out in the next ten years or so...

A reason? The reason is that they are genetically or hormonally, or psychologically (or any combination thereof) predisposed to find members of the same sex attractive.

If you eliminate the fact that the person is gay or lesbian, I guess you'd have to say the reason is hormones.

Sure there is. People tend to fall for those they are attracted to. It's really as simple as that in general terms. Of course, there can be any plethora of reasons a person might find attractive about someone else. That is the mystery.

My attractions are towards women. The thought of being with a biological male isn't at all appealing. I'm sure it's about as appealing as being with the same sex is to a straight person.

Yes, the same reasons others fall for the opposite sex.

I have a crush on another girl for the first time in my life. I like guys and all but she is just an amazing person. I like individials, not genders. I think it's best that way.

It's just hormones. People fall in love with those they are originally attracted to, and hormones are what makes them attractive.
