Best thing you can do is add their e-mail to the junk folder list. This way, every time he e-mails you, the e-mail will automatically go into the junk folder (or bulk as in yahoo's case) and be deleted in a couple of days.
Easiest way to do this on yahoo, is just simply open up one of his e-mails, then click on the spam button.

If you have been very clear that you do not wish to communicate to him at all, then "SPAM button" him, otherwise go to your options and block his address. I could have probably been described as someone who kept e-mailing. I never got a response from the person, but he didn't directly tell me to stop e-mailing either. Do this, and give him a chance to back off on his own first....unless you've already told him. It's not fair when people complain about harrassment to other people without first telling you to stop. There is a fine line between attention and harrassment and if they're not picking up on your signals that you're not happy with it, they might not realize you think of it as harrassment. Love can make you do foolish stupid things including hearing what you want to hear and interpreting things always giving it the benefit of the doubt. If I would have had a clearer mind, I would've "taken the hint". But who, when they're in love, has a clear mind?

When you get an email from this individual put a check in the box next to his email and click the spam button. Doing this will also add him to your blocked list.
