US Government pay scale at GS-11 ,about $39,000 a year.

Most of them are military, and well officers :) So they make military pay. The other astronauts would work on a GS/GM Paygrades

Well, at the beginning of his career he'd probably be taking basic gen ed courses and working for minimum wage.

yah, i actually want to know this... what is it? i hope is a million per annum. make you want to sign up so they can explode you in space or force you to sign some draconian oath of secrecy to never divulge 'bogey' accounts.

they make good money....but the problem is they blast off on monday and don't get paid till friday
