Well, it sounds like you've already got the theme... pirates! I take it what you're actually looking for are ideas for decorations, activities, etc.

a treasure hunt will go over well. Depending on the age range/skill level of the kids in attendance, it could be just literally a hunt (the chocolate is out there, go find it!) or it could have clues that they have to work out and follow to find a big "treasure chest" of goodies that they share amongst them. Chocolate "gold coins" are an obvious choice, but if you're going to have a treasure chest, you could also include candy necklaces, the big sucker rings and shiny "gemstone" type candies

Give everyone a patch over their eye and make them "walk the plank" while balancing a dubloon on a plastic utensil. Give a prize. Make them dig into a treasure chest that has "eyeballs!" (grapes) Brains! (cooked spaghetti) in order to get prizes, Put things in and think of what to call them.. Rubber bands? Gummy bears? (they won't have to eat wny of it so be creative) just some thoughts

Sounds like pirates are your theme. If you need ideas to carry out this theme, try a party supply store. Pirate tyoe games could include searching for treasure (get those chocolate coins and hide them in your house), pin the eye patch on the pirate (like pin the tail on the donkey), pirate themed coloring contests... to name a few

The guy who wanted to know if you were actual pirates really cracked me up. Thanks for asking this question. I really needed a laugh. I think the Pirates of the Carribean would be a great theme. If you are brave enough for this idea I think it would be fun and hilarious. Have all the kids dress up like pirates and take them to the movie! I don't know if yo uhave the patience for this but it would be cool. Also here are ususally putt-putt places that are designed to look like a pirate ship.

Use bandanas, eye patches, plastic swords, and make the cake into some type of ship. Use the Pirates of the Caribean for your theme. My boys love the movie and play pirates alot. You can also use an island table cloth and if you have sand use it too. Hope this helps.

Do you have a sandbox? If so, you can"bury" treasure!
The kids can put on pirate costumes and eye patches! Make them
"walk the plank!" using a board of wood- who can walk it and stay on it!
Do a scavenger hunt- give the kids a map of buried treasure and they have to find the "clues" from the map!

Maybe do a trivia contest - best pirates in movies.
Johnny Depp of course. Don't forget the 40s and 50s swash buckling films with Errol Flynn.

Peter Pan, too, with Capt. Hook!

McDonalds also is doing a Pirates theme with their food. Check on Happy Meals there.

You can get chocolate gold coins from Costplus world market. They could be prizes for games or put in the goodie bags.

Face painting and fake tattoos for everyone! Yo ho ho and a bottle of root beer for everyone.
