What do you think will happen in Pirates of the Carrabean 3?!?

The plot of POTC3 is closely guarded, but some things are known or assumed.

Jack's friends will travel to "de ind o' de ert" to save his soul from the Underworld, as was done for Captain Barbosa who is now obviously alive and well and enjoying juicy green apples. The end of the earth is Asia, probably Singapore or Shanghai, mate. Chow Yun Fat plays the top dog pirate in those steamy waters.

(Note some sites are speculating Barbosa picked up some Aztec Gold like his monkey and is again undead. No - the monkey got the gold and has the curse of Aztec Gold; while Barbosa's boots were seen on the table when the crew made their first visit to Swamp Voodoo Woman, and alive by the time they returned at the end of the movie. The apple signifies he's alive, not undead).

Rolling Stone Keith Richards will make an appearance, probably as Jack's father, possibly in the Underworld.

Another visit to Tortuga's port, as this is where Disney's signature scenes of the park ride are shown in both previous movies, especially the mayor who's being dunked in the well in both movies. Above all else, the movies are a vehicle for Disney's POTC ride.

Some plot points need to be resolved and will likely appear:

- Finding Jack, and bringing him back to life (if indeed the Sarlaac, er, Kraken chewed up his body. Of course if Jack is whole and slowly digesting amidst the corpses of 1000 men, he's likely to find a way to swim out on the backs of two turtles...).

- The rise in power of the East India Trading Co as they control the seas through Davey Jones whose heart they stole, and create havoc for pirates and non-pirates alike.

- Norrington being restored to fleet status. Expect the beard to be gone and the poncy wig back in place as he goes after Will Turner with a vengeance for destroying his life.

- Will Turner stealing back Davey Jones' heart, with the help of new allies and old, and his rise to claim his "destiny".

- Will Turner returning the heart to Davey Jones in return for freeing Bootstrap Bill from Jones' crew and restoring him to mortality.

- The long-delayed wedding scene which both fathers are likely to attend. Remember, Jack is a captain and can marry people on his ship. Expect the monkey to steal the ring. Or maybe it will be Gollum, my precious...

- A twist where Captain Jack becomes respectable and leaves pirating.

- Barbosa wants his ship back. Either Davey Jones will restore it, or they'll find a new one for him to sail off on. He ain't in this for love. And maybe he has a score to settle with Jack...

Until more appears online, we'll have to wait till POTC3 hits the screens, or Chinese bootleg DVDs, whichever is soonest.

Pirates 3 begins in the Orient, where Elizabeth Swann is taking a prisoner to the dread pirate Sao Feng. It is then revealed that she is conspiring with Captain Barbossa. The plan is to exchange the prisoner, who is hooded, for some charts Sao Feng has, but the whole thing is a scam. The prisoner is actually Will Turner! Both he and Elizabeth escape and take the charts with them. The charts are to help them find Davey Jones' Locker, where Jack Sparrow went after he died. Jack is not in heaven or hell but in a a desert filled with weird crabs.

Jack is rescued and there is a gathering of a pirate armada, which culminates in a massive sea battle.

Barbossa will ally himslef to Will and co. and will guide to the world's end and try to rescue Jack Sparrow and retrieve back the Black Pearl. A new villain alliance will be formed between Captain Sao Feng (Chow Yun Fat) from the Orient, the now Admiral Norrington and Lord Cutler Beckett.

OKAY, so I think Jack will be alive for about 1 hr 30 minutes before realizing he has another "debt to pay", one that will claim his life. Will and Liz will argue for the first 30 minutes about the "infamous kiss" until Liz confesses that she did it to betray Jack
(hence..."Will, but I love YOU, I did it to save YOU--I knew we could catch up to Jack later,baby!). Will may be relieved by this news all the while wondering why it was so passionate!!!---But they'll remember when they first met as children and will kiss and make up.

There will be flashbacks to the love story of Davey Jones and who killed her, OR why she left him for another,etc.

"Lord Bucket" (dude in the white wig) wants the heart because he too needs his soul back from Davey Jones--(remember all of the East India Trading Company stuff Jack found in the shack at the island of the crazy natives)--that was probably from when "Lord Bucket" was last there.

9/10 chances Jack will escape from the Kraken's hold---or die and cross over into the "Land of the Dead" where he'll cut a few "rum-influenced" deals concerning his soul.

Barbossa will explain to the "Fellowship of the Save-Jack Sparrow-Campaign" (hence Liz, Will, eyepopping dude, etc.) about how he came back alive to be able to eat a green apple. They'll use this same method to probably save Jack, --and at which time, Liz will apologize to Jack and say that she regretted kissing (or not) and betraying him.

Will Turner, (in his haste before another "passionate kiss" can happen btwn Jack and Liz while their confrontation is taking place), --will drop down to ask Liz for that one "final wedding". And of course, Liz, like a good Disney heroine, will consent to marriage.

AND....amidst all this, mindless action sequences and swashbucking will take place.

The great soundtrack music will start playing and the credits roll up.
