Not really, but when you dont get good answers, then definitely its regrettable...

Don't lose heart, you will get 3 points by selecting the best answer that leaves 2 points which you lose, now answer one question and you will get back those 2 points, in case you do not want to answer then rate the best answer or vote for the best answer for 2 questions, you will get your 5 points back.

not sad, maybe discouraged, because i would rather ask questions than answer them.
This is a technique i use in training and find it really stimulates the mind and offers new questions to be answered by those who choose that route.
