No and no. Both are legitimate questions, and entirely inoffensive.

That definitely wasn't right that you got got reported for asking those questions. Some people are just vindictive for no reason at all. But I will answer your questions.
I have been to a cattle auction, lol. My dad used to work on a dairy farm and they had cattle auctions every month.
I've never been skiing. I can barely walk on snow without slipping, so skiing would be bad for me, lol...

NO CHATTING OR PERSONAL COMMUNICATIONS: You may meet friends or other interesting people on Yahoo! Answers with whom you'd like to engage in personal correspondence. If so, please use the chat option on your profile page, rather than use Yahoo! Answers itself. Questions that are chatty, or attempts to engage others in personal communications, will be removed. Some examples of questions that do not comply with the Yahoo! Answers Community Guidelines are below. These are just a few examples, and we reserve the right to change, remove, or add to the list at any time, without notice:
How are you?
Anyone want to chat?
What's your name?
How old are you?
Do you like my avatar?
What time is it?
Who here likes steak?
How many points do you have?
Who likes Britney Spears?
These are the types of questions that will get you reported. You might have reworded your question to sound something like "What types of auctions have you been to, and how did you participate in them?? " or "Where are some great places to ski?". That way it doesn't sound like you are trying to make conversation with others.

I would not have reported either question as objectionable. What reason was given? Miscategorized?
On the auction one, it might have been better if you put a detail in such as "What was it like?" or something, so that it didn't sound like a meaningless polling question. But while it is possible someone reported you because of vengeance or petty spite, it takes a staff member to actually delete your question.

I agree with you...you did nothing wrong...if that 's what you asked...if answers reviews your question...I think they'll agree with you also...so to the people that have done this false reporting to Answers "beware of what you've done...bacause Answers will repremand you in one way or another...so be very careful...you've been warned...by an outsider..."

You got reported for that?! Now that's just mean. People who report others like that should get their accounts suspended.
