Was there anything different that happened to you before labor started (ie, more energy, less energy; slept better or worse than usual the night before; different symptoms or lack thereof)?

The very first clue was that I lost my mucus plug when I went to the bathroom in the middle of the night. I didn't feel anything painful, but I had a hard time going back to sleep because I thought that I'd be in labor soon and I was really excited. I was fairly energetic the next day and did some last minute housecleaning. I didn't start to feel any cramping until about noon and it came on very gradually. We went to the hospital around 5:00 pm, but it still wasn't too uncomfortable, just like menstrual cramps. It took a while before they started to get more intense, and the doctor broke my water.

The day before I went into labor with my first daughter, I felt yucky, just not myself. The day of, I felt great!! Went on a walk that was over a mile long, went and walked around home depot for 2 hours, had sex with my husband that night, then my water broke less then an hour later.

With my second, I was induced at 38 weeks because I was dialated to a 5 and 80% effaced, so I don't know how I felt but uncomfortable and having contractions that wouldn't stabilize.

Some women will have a feeling that something just isn't right, some will have diarrhea or looser stool. This is because the body is starting to clean itself out for labor. Some women find that they are in hyper mode and can't get things clean enough, some will lay around all day without the energy to get up and do anything. It just all depends on the woman.

with my daughter i had been sick on and off the whole preg, but for the last month or two id been feeling ok, but the final week before labor i started to get sick and throw up again. i noticed bub was quiet the day and night b4 labor with no. 1. and also i got up in middle of night (well about 3am) to have a shower i didnt know why but i WANTED a shower... was in labor shortly afterwards, by 5am i knew this was it. didnt have a show or anything. with my son i had what i thought was a show aweek before but not really bloody at all, then on the few nights leading up to it was getting braxton hicks really bad to the point i was up walking around trying to get them to stay lol. also the night before the night i went into labor i bled a lot (that was my real show maybe) like a period nearly but watery too. my heart burn was quiet bad untill a week b4 labor too. and with both of them i had to finish the cross stiches and nurseries i was doing (even tho they slept in my room till about 4-6 months on purpose) before i could feel ready then both nights b4 labor i went to bed feeling like i was ready now, and remember thinking that. also cleaned things for the last week but was very sleepy and wanted good food (not take out) the day/night b4. slept well both nights waking at 3-4 for labors starting. i think thats all, i kept a diary but havent checked it for this answer, i could if u wanted.. email me.
ok good luck and bye bye, youll do great!

Nothing different happened to me. I was two days overdue and they induced my labor. I went to the hospital at like 12pm (they sent me straight home after my doctors appointment to get my bags and go to the hospital) When they went to break my water at like 10 pm they found that I had been slow leaking the whole time (but not before they stuck that damn stick in me!). I had my daughter at 4:19 am.

Let my recall...nothing much happened. just in the middle of the night, at around 4am plus, felt pain in my stomach. Thought I was going to poo but nothing, so went back to sleep. The next day when I got up from my bed, I felt water dripping. Oh yes!!! The water bag had burst!!! For your info, I got no strenght when I am suppose to push my baby...

I've never been pregnant, but my friend thought she had the flu when she went into labor. Some people experience symptoms before and some people don't I guess.

I did nothing different in what you are referring to. I just drove myself to my doctor appointment for my first one, and ended up in the hospital because i was having contractions, and delivered that night.

My second one, I woke up when my water broke, and rolled out of bed quickly so as not to "leak" all over the bed...lol..
