All of you women who said child birth obviously have never had your leg blown off by a mortar and then been forced to lay in your own excrement for 6 hours because the medics that are trying to get to you are pinned down by machine gun fire. But then again, child birth probably is more painful.

My 9 year old says, the most painful thing she ever experienced was "running through a glass door" which caused her to need 14 stitches on her face & arm. For me, her mom, the most painful thing I ever experienced was petocin induced "natural childbirth." How an HMO could convince me that my baby would be born better off without medicating the birth process is beyond me! If anything could make a person mental, it is the last few minutes of that process. Holy Hannibal Lechter, it was wicked. Great Question!

During a wisdom teeth extraction. The teeth were found embeded in bone and surrounded my nerves. The oral Surgeon said he would have to operate and gave me an Intravenous sedative to knock me out. Well the vein he used collapsed and the sedative never got a chance to start working. 10 Mins. into the surgery I woke up while the Dr. was sawing away at bone to get to the tooth. Now that was the most painful thing I have ever felt.

Kidney Stones..... i was on my way to work and my back started hurting, and by the time i got here it was so excruciating i could hardly stand or walk, i almost pulled over on the side of the road, but then what would I do??? So I came into my office (i work in physical therapy) and laid on a table till someone else got here, and yelled for them until they heard me..... i was rolling from side to side on the bed, and the pain wouldn't go away, then they took me to the ER, and I had to wait for 2hrs before they would give me anything for pain because they wanted to do an IV and give me a mixture of pain medicine, and stuff to help me not get sick and all I was thinking was give me the F'ing medicine I don't care if I puke all over the place.... Hell I'll clean it up if you want just give me the medicine!!!!.... It was the most painful thing I've ever experienced, and I have a very high pain tolerance.... i heard one guy say when he passed his kidney stone he passed out and bashed his head on the toilet, and had to have some stitches, so i always sat down to pee after that until it was over....LOL

The injury to my foot that occurred during my marathon training flaired up wickedly at mile 10 with 16 more miles to go. Three more hours of running on that foot was mentally and physically demanding. When I crossed the finish line I burst into tears at sheer relief of being able to stop running, finally.
Lesson- I will NEVER do that again, I will drop out of a race, the recovery was too long and boring.

Getting your nipples pierced by a less than professional piercer. He jabbed it through my nipple. Once the pain sufficed I looked down (thinking it was over) and the needle was stuck half way through my nipple...(apparently he hit some thick tissue, or some b.s.) and then he jammed it through the rest of the way...talk about pain. My body was shaking like an overloaded washing machine, not to mention that I had blood running down my abs. ouch. It should have been on the discovery channel.
ouch.
talk about a bad day. lol.

I've been pretty lucky so far, but the single most painful thing I remember was getting a local anaesthetic injection in my foot, to stop me feeling the pain when they drained an abscess on it. The operation felt fine, but Oh! man, that extralong, fat needle stabbed in by an overtired young doctor HURT!

the pain in my legs after a road accident. I feel as if the legs are being physically pulled off now and again. the ambulance people just stand by and watch as they cant do anything. It lasts for about ten minutes each time and goes away as if nothing has happened.!! Its worse than childbirth believe me.

I stood on an electric plug this morning, with the prongs facing upwards. Pain didn't last too long but I still managed to compose a sentence comprised only of swear words.
