The Corning Museum In Corning, New York is the center of the glass universe. They have many programs for kids and adults. They will also arrange living accommodations if needed. So hop on a plane and come on over!

look at your local college or workshop in Sheffield. Here in the US it would be called a community college.

find a school that teaches it, or alternattively, find a local glassblower, visit his studio/shop, watch him/her, and then ask him/her how you should go about becoming an apprentice. Odds are, he or she will show you around and ask you to come back to start sifting sand.
Glassblowing is still largely taught by the master/apprentice system. Just go out and find a glassblower willing to take you on.
