magnetic fields interact in a predictable way. They are described by Gauss' law of magnetism:

The surface integral of magnetic flux across any closed surface is zero.

To put it another way, "the magnetic divergence is always zero" [Del-dot-B = 0].

The magnet punch would push away from the field and vice versa.

You can see anything, magnetic fields are invisible.

But you may feel something if you are experimenting with magnets.
( be careful, dont get your fingers clamp between the magnets ).
