So--the latest online forum buzz about POTC II concerns the possible romantic feelings between Elizabeth and Jack Sparrow. Consider that Commodore Norington , "Captain Evil white wig" (the new English villain of the East India Company) , and others note Elizabeth's growing concern for the well-being of Jack. The betrayal kiss was quite passionate (or just enough passion for silently shackling) and the compass does keep pointing into different directions (MUCH OF WHICH IS STILL UNDER DEBATE)----Who should be (or who do you want to be) together?? You tell me.

It's more romantic for Elizabeth to end up with Will and for Jack to stay single. Jack isn't the type to settle down anyway. I believe there will be another explanation for the behavior of the compass. And if Elizabeth is increasingly concerned for Jack's welfare, it is because she has conflicting feelings about him. She has reason to like him, to be grateful to him, and also to hate him. This isn't really surprising since he's such a morally ambiguous character anyway.

The kiss between Liz and Jack was passionate, yes, but I don't think it held many feelings. Jack is more of a temptation to Liz because he's daring and different. All her life she's been told what to do and when to do it so Jack offers a sense of freedom and risk. Will is sort of a good boy so she probably isn't as prone to being tempted by him. If there are any feelings, they're Liz's. It's probably like a little girly crush. Now Jack, on the other hand, has been at sea for a verrrrry long time and obviously doesn't have the best of luck with women (think of the slapping and such). I think he's just (sorry for the bluntness) horny. Jack had no idea as to what he wanted, so the compass was everywhere. Liz certainly wanted Jack so it's fitting it was pointing at him. Now I'm not so sure it would necessairly be pointed at him anymore. She had her kiss...probably liked it a lot, but I think she feels a sense of betrayal towards Will. At Tia Dalma's in the end she couldn't look at him. I think on the boat the look that passed between them informed Liz that Will had seen her and Jack.
In the end I'd like to see Liz and Will together just to wrap up the story. Jack shouldn't get anybody until he figures out what he wants in life (or at least how to be a gentleman). Before Liz and Will can be together though, she better learn a few lessons about boys.

Hm, I don't think Elizabeth really likes Jack Sparrow as much as she likes Will Turner. But Johnny Depp is hot and who can resist. I personally think a hotter couple would be Elizabeth and Jack (seeing as both are amazing looking) But this is Disney and everything will be alright in the end with no adultery committed.
And besides, Jack being singleish leaves me room to daydream.

When i watched the 1st pirates till the end i hoped that Eliz and Jack would be together, i was dissappointed and waited it in 2d. So i'm for Eliz\Jack!!!! maybe in the 3d:) who knows:)
