Probably not in all cases:however, I believe that the one initiating that divorce is a quitter. Quitters are necessary sometimes if the other spouse is a piece. Either way, quitters are very low on my list of valued people. I am a very good man and I had a quitter throw me away because of her lack of values. Took a father away from her two sons that helped deliver them into this world and while caring for them, she found a bf at her work and through lies and deceipt made a whole new family complete with cousins, brothers, etc. Best part is, he is an abuser. I guess she could not take someone that idolized her more than anything else in the world and did 70% as opposed to the 50% traditionally. Gee wonder what I did wrong. Maybe it was providing the best sex available, coming home when expected, caring for the children, caring for the house, committing to one woman only. Problem was she was a quitter and you cannot identify a quitter until too late. We all know that won't happen again. If you are going to committ to someone, marriage is inconsequential to the committment.

I'm not sure how initiating a divorce would make a woman anything less than a real woman. That doesn't even make sense. What would make a woman less of a woman to me is if she's just staying with some guy because she thinks she has to.

It requires a lot of guts to initiate a divorce. Why stay on in an unhappy marriage? Only a real woman is man enough to do it!

I would say the opposite. Of course, it depends on what country we're talking about, because of different customs, viewpoints, etc. But, in the USA anyway, I think a woman who initiates a divorce is saying, "...ok, that's it. I'm not taking one more day of your crap." THAT kind of woman has my respect. It's the woman who allows her husband to treat her like a doormat that makes me wonder.

If she initiates the divorce for good reason, then she is more than just a real woman. She has guts.

Depends on the reasons that she initiates the divorce for.

Less than a real woman?

That's an odd statement.

No just because you were the one to take the first step shouldn't mean that you are the bad guy. You just got fed up quicker.
