I hate that Christmas starts before the summer hols are over. Where I work we have banned talking about Christmas, Santa hats, Christmas shift patterns and any thing Christmas related until 2 weeks before the big day at which point we are all expected to go slightly mad wear hats sing songs and dress the taxis with tinsel

I don't like the way it comes earlier every year, the adverts for Christmas are on earlier and earlier each year, I think there was an advert for saving for next Christmas in January! I don't want to think about Christmas in January, actually I don't want to think about it in July!!! Stop it!!!!!
Oh yes, those jingles in ALL shops are annoying, but I don't like to here music in every shop anyway.

The jingles and the fact that every single shop increases it's price on everything.

I quite dislike the "hype" or the "theme" of love, forgiveness, family etc which is contiunally echoed in large streams around Christmas time...
Dont get me wrong I love all the themes mentioned however I will never understand why they are only mentioned and played over and over around Christmas time...
These messages should be throughout the year and not just when Santa comes once a year :-)

The competition within the family. Everyone tries to get the other person the most expensive thing they can find and if someone else gets them something more expensive, it causes a huge uproar. My family is so immature and unresponsible and don't know the real meaning of Christmas. That's why I decided about 2 years ago to not go around them. :P

I work retail and I have become to hate the Christmas season because people become stupid and obnoxious as to what they want or need to get as a present. They wait until the last minute and wonder why it is that can't get what is on sale after it has been on sale for weeks.

The fact that I live in a Muslim country and nobody else celebrates, or even gets the concept of what Christmas is about. My husband just kinda goes along with it to plase me, and my mother-in-law tells my kids their presents ahead of time, so nothing is ever a surprise for them. It's a wonder they still believe in Santa!

Bumping into people in shops, wrestling with all the trollies in the supermarket, all the overcrowding, whilst listening to jingle bollocks.

Christmas shopping.... after all, its not supposed to be about the presents - but the meaning.
This year, we are doing a "homemade" christmas to remind the kids what its all about. Sure, they will get a couple of good store bought gifts, but they will be making things for others this year. :)
