Water is by far the best thing to drink, but I am assuming you are looking for something to aid labour. Red raspberry leaf tea, the stuff from a health food store of an herbalist, not raspberry flavoured tea is a good uterine tonic. There have been studies to show that drinking it prior to labour has made for shorter labours...so maybe that is worth a try! Do some research online to see if that is something you want to do and to get the dosage directions.

I have never heard of cranberry juice associate with pregnancy except in cases of urinary tract infections.

Happy birthing!

Wow. You seem kind of shallow and materialistic, and very bitter. Did it ever occur to you that just maybe that girl that may seem less attractive and frumpy to you is a ten in the guy's eyes? Not all guys are shallow. The other thing is, you may be looking for that special someone, when the reality is, when the right guy appears, he is going to approach you and you will know it only if you let go of the outward appearances. He might be breathtakingly gorgeous, or he might just be average, but you won't know if you are settling for just a "type". There is a saying that there is someone for everyone. Sometimes there are people together that you might really say, "Ew!" Wondering what the heck does he see in her or vice versa. There are forces beyond this universe that are capable of causing two people to be very much attracted to each other because of their chemistry, their connection. It's not always about sex. Though attraction and intensity and compatibility can make that incredible. Once you get off of your shallow high horse and take a long good look at your inner self, you will attract someone who will make your heart sing. Someone who is worthy of your heart and vice versa. He may complement you in ways that you never imagined. You have to decide what you really want beyond the obvious, outward beauty, or inner beauty.

Do you mean what should you be drinking just to stay hydrated? Water is great for you. Getting dehydrated can bring on contractions that don't lead anywhere, so be sure you are getting plenty of fluids.

Some caregivers recommend cranberry juice to help with UTI's, so if you have a problem with that, then yes, get some cranberry juice.

lots of water and Flax seed oil.. my midwife says it helps with labor among so many other health benifits..
Flax Seed Oil - Benefit Of Flax Seed Oil What Is Flax Seed Oil
Flax seed is 1/3 oil, and the rest of it is made up of fiber, protein, and mucilage. Flax seed oil is a rich source of essential fatty acids - it contains alpha linolenic acid, omega 3 essential fatty acid, and omega 6 essential fatty acid, and flax seed oil contains these 3 EFA's in just the right proportions. Flax seeds are also a great source of lignans, vitamins, and minerals.

North Americans are usually lacking omega 3 EFA in their diet, and flax seed oil is an excellent supplement for this. The cells of the body need the omega 3 fatty acids from which they build their cell membranes, which protect them. The brain is largely composed of fats called phospholipids, which are made from essential fatty acids. Thus these oils are essential for the function and structure of the brain and improve cognition, memory, moods and concentration.

Flax Seed Oil - Essential Source Of Omega 3 EFA
Research has shown that majority of diets are deficient in Omega 3 essential fatty acids, and this can lead to some serious health problems:

Coronary heart disease - Omega 3 helps reduce cholesterol, blood pressure, plaque formation, and cardian arrhythmia.
Arthritis - Studies have found that oils rich in Omega 3 (like flax seed oil) patients can reduce their drug use.
Cancer - Omega 3 has been found to kill certain cancer cells without harming normal cells.
Skin problems like acne, eczema, and psoriasis are shown partly to be related to Omega 3 deficiency.
Omega 3 EFA helps improve your response to stress.
