Do you think it is right that the Establishment preserve the right and indeed encourage separation of say Asians in areas such as marriage yet condemn white people for not wanting to marry outside their religion or culture? I think it is hypocritical.

I did not understand what you meant by "reverse racism," until I spotted this excerpt from an article in the Atlantic Monthly.

"In America "whites once set themselves apart from blacks and claimed privileges for themselves while denying them to others," the author writes. "Now, on the basis of race, blacks are claiming special status and reserving for themselves privileges they deny to others. Isn't one as bad as the other? "

I think racism is very wrong in any form and should be strongly discouraged both officially and personally. If you are talking about life in the US, people are free to marry whom they choose. The government has no official policy, except for 'affirmative action'. I think we are still experiencing growing pains as a country and as a culture. It will take a while for society to catch up to this growth, but it will happen when people start to have mixed race children in their own families and see how lovable and beautiful they are. No one is preventing or forcing people to marry or not marry any other people. What is your point?

DVZ's posting shows how small minded and out of date he is. Humanity is one species, originally descended from Africans. Hello!

Reverse Racism - is it OK?
---------------------------------
No, not OK.Any racism is NOT OK.But people have the right to pres eve their culture anywhere they live. The Brits never ever mixed with natives of the places they stole.
They have in fact built their own little cities, clubs ever trains and let their servants(the masters of the land the Brits stole ) in little filthy areas.

Asian have the right to practise their religions.
Now answer this question: Would you ever dare to ask a Jew why they forbid mix with other races or religions?
And why they look down and dishonour those who did?
Would you dare?

Naw guy it is not hypocritical.
Humans are the only creatures that screw up as bad as we do.

Birds only mess with other birds of their own kind. ie red birds & red birds. Crows & Crows, Robins & Robins, Turkey & Turkey.
Eagles & Ealgles.
I do not know of a case where a Red bird mated with a Blue Bird, Nor an Eagle with a Crow, or a Turkey with a Duck

Mainly those that want to marry outside of their culture are trying to get ahead by getting a free ride in life. Also, it has been found that the people that do marry outside of thieir own culture usuall end up in divorce. In most cases they end up being an outcast in their own families. Not wanted by either side.
In my 73 years, I have only seen a very, very, very, few of these marriages that really worked.

It is Hypocritical many Asian women are killed in so called honour killings because they want to marry someone they love not someone their family chooses them to marry. You are not a racist for raising the point you are a realist.I want my children to marry white people and to keep the white race going just as much as black people want their race and culture to thrive. If my children decide to marry out of their race then i will give my full blessing so i a not a racist just a realist 2.

No.People are naturally divided by culture and language and religion ,I think it's the mixing of these things that progress humanity , as you soon as you start dividing people according to a particular grouping you really have a breeding program rather than a society.

Racism is never o.k. i don't care where it comes from. Take it from an human being that has witnessed it against blacks. I have a blk friend and I went into the store with her on several occassions. We were both dressed in our uniforms every store (6) we went into they talked/treated me differently than they did her. She's very well spoken and she's very articulate. I can honestly say that after that day, I now can honestly say that I see the racism towards black people and can sympathise with them. I HATED what Isaw!!

If your British your British, and if your American your American. If that description isn't good enough, then we have a problem.
The state has no business in telling people who they should marry. None of their business. Also, I think that a white man would run into trouble trying to marry a Muslim lady.

What is the state saying anyway, "we've screwed up folks" so we want you, the good citizen, to fix things for us.

Racism of any kind; forward, reverse, upside down, or any other way you can get it, is totally wrong.

People are human beings and as such should be free to marry whom they freely choose.

I don't think it is right to condemn any one for their choice in marriage. I don't think wanting someone of your own color is raciest either. You like what you like, skin color is a preference just like weight, hight, color of eyes, color of hair ect...

Now if you marry in your race because you are raciest then that is different. It is not about your choice in marriage then, it is because your raciest.
