What if your lie would save his life?

My Friends and Family are my first community therefore I owe my allegiance to them first and not some abstract notion of "THE STATE" which is not even in the top five.
When anyone says they would die for their country what they really mean is they would die to protect their community (Friends and Family).
Would I lie to protect someone I would die for? You bet your sweet @##.

That is a VERY HARD QUESTION to try and answer as unless you are put in that awful position it is extremely hard to try and 'guess' what you would do...

It is a talking point however...

It would dependon the crime committed and whether it was in essence a "victimless crime" which I know is an oxy moron in itself.....

I love my friends and I would like to think I would do anything to help them in their time of need... However I am also realistic and if a friend, no matter how good committed a crime of murder I could NEVER commit perjury in a court of law...

This is a circumstance which I would never want to be placed in....

No, if my friend did a crime then he should be punished. Taking responsibility is the opt word here. I would not lie in a court of law to save my friend. It is just wrong.

No. My friends would never put in a situation where I would need to lie to save them.

Yes I would. Even if I was found out It would at least cause a mis-trial and save his life.

absolutely not!!! Lying is evil. Evil begets evil. Only truth will set my friend free. This life is only temporary - decisions made with only this life in mind is insane when you stand at the brink of all eternity.
