Oct 1st 2005, minimum wage changed to £5.05. I am still on £4.90. I am over 21. I told my boss it has changed and he said it will be rectified but can I claim all the backpay difference from Oct 2005 or kiss it goodbye?

You should get back pay to October 2005. I believe you are entitled to it if you are paid by the hour.

yes but you need to have kept your wage slips. First step should be to ask for the back pay and use grievance procedure if employer refuses to backdate it. After then im guessing it would be a matter for the small claims court

No you can claim back to the date of change. If you're ending your job soon it's likely you'll get the extra money then. I've just finished my work & that's what they do for me.

If you're not ending though maybe calculate what you're due and ask for it in your next pay cheque.

Ask your local council or lawyer. Probably if you can prove that you have not been paid enough, you can reclaim the money.
